Scranton, PA (PRWEB) December 19, 2013

Stratford Career Institute has added new content to their distance learning Photography course.

An entirely new module titled “Introduction to Photography” has been added to the course curriculum. The module covers the following topics: Career Opportunities in Photography, Basic Technical Concepts and Skills, Capabilities of Photo Editing Software, Working with Photos on a Computer, Practical Projects for Developing Photography Skills.

“This new module goes over some basic skills and ideas and how to implement them before diving into more detailed photography topics,” said Dr. Claude Major, Director of Education for Stratford Career Institute.

Once the student is introduced to this basic overview, Stratford’s Photography course curriculum goes over lighting, colors, filters, digital images, work presentation, and online and general marketing strategies. The final module is titled, “Going Pro.”

Stratford officials say since the course focuses on the fundamentals, everyone from amateurs to more experienced photographers can benefit from the broad range of material covered.

Similar to Stratford’s popular high school diploma program, the Photography course can be completed entirely at home through guided, independent study.

Students can complete exams online, through the mail or in combination. Instructors are available throughout the entire course via e-mail and toll-free phone. Stratford’s online eService allows students to track shipments, make tuition payments, use the online library, and more.
