Sony Offers Five New Cyber-shot Models

Sony has introduced updates to its CyberShot lineup of digital cameras with the DSC-HX400V, DSC-H400, DSC-H300, DSC-WX350, and the DSC-W800.

The HX400V high zoom digital camera features a 20.4-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 50x optical zoom with a 100x Clear Image Zoom, and a Bionz X image processing engine. The HX400V is a point and shoot designed like a compact DSLR, measuring 5 1/8 x 3 3/4 x 4 1/8-inches and weighing 1.45 pounds. It features an ISO range of 80-3200, an aperture range of f2.8-6.3, a 3-inch LCD display with a 921k dot resolution, and manual control settings. With the HX400V, users can also record video in 1080p at frame rates of 60p, 60i, and 24p. With Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities, users can connect their smartphones to the HX400V to use as a remote control or to instantly upload photos to their device. The Sony HX400V will be available in black this March for a retail price of $500.

The H400 high-zoom camera has a 20.1-megapixel CCD sensor and can record video at 720p. The H400 boasts a 63x optical zoom lens and as well as Optical SteadyShot to reduce blur. The H400 is built like a DSLR with an electronic viewfinder and a 3-inch LCD display panel featuring a 460K dot resolution. It has an ISO range of 80 to 3200, an aperture range of f3.4-6.5, measures 5 1/8 x 3 3/4 x 4 7/8-inches, and weighs less than 1.4 pounds. It will be available in black starting this March with price tag of $320.

The Sony H300 is a high zoom digital camera with a 20.1-megapixel sensor, a 35x optical zoom, and a 35x digital zoom. It features an ISO range of 80 to 3200, an aperture range of f3.0 – 5.9, and a 3-inch LCD display with a 460K dot resolution. The camera measures 5 1/8 x 3 3/4 x 4 7/8-inches and weighs under 1.1 pounds. The Sony H300 is available this month in black with a retail price of $220.

The Sony WX350 is a compact digital camera with an 18.2-megapixel CMOS sensor featuring a 20x optical zoom and a 40x Clear Image Zoom. The camera features a 3-inch LCD display with a 460K dot resolution, an ISO range of 80 to 12800, and an aperture of f3.5-6.5. Weighing .3 pounds and measuring 3 7/8 x 2 1/4 x 1 1/16-inches, the WX350 is light weight and compact. The Sony WX350 will be available for $320 in black and white starting this March.

The Sony W800 is a compact digital camera featuring a 20.1-megapixel sensor with an optical zoom of 5x, 10x digital zoom, ISO range of 100 to 3200, and an aperture of f3.2-6.45. On the back of the device, users will find a 2.7-inch LCD viewfinder with a 230K dot resolution. The device measures 2 x 7/8 x 2 1/4 inches and weighs less than .3 pounds with the battery. The Sony W800 will be available in black and white this March with a retail price of $80.
