Panasonic has announced pricing and availability for the Lumix GH4 DSLM, which features 4K video technology. The company touts this latest Lumix model as the first mirrorless camera to be equipped with 4K capabilities for both still and video capture.

The Lumix GH4 boasts a 16.05-megapixel MOS sensor, a quad-core processor with Venus image processor, and Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities for easy sharing. It also features a max ISO of 25,600 and high speed burst shooting at 12fps for up to 40 RAW stills. The OLED view finder has a 2,359K dot resolution and the rear touch display houses at 1,036K dot resolution. Although it comes as the successor to the Lumix GH3, Panasonic still plans to carry and support that model in the wake of the GH4.

The Lumix GH4 will retail for $1699.99 for the body and $1999.99 when combined with the video adapter. Users can purchase the GH4 on Panasonic’s website or through specialty retailers.
