Future’s Photography Group Announces Market-Leading Position in ABCs

All three of Future’s photography titles appear in the sector’s combined ABC top four for the first time ever. Digital Camera, N-Photo and PhotoPlus posted combined ABCs ahead of long-standing titles including Bauer’s Practical Photography, Dennis’ Digital SLR Photography, IPC’s What Digital Camera and Amateur Photographer.

Flagship brand Digital Camera retains its market-leading position for the second year running, with a combined ABC of 40,401.

N-Photo: The Nikon Magazine, is the fastest-growing title in the photography sector with double digit percentage increases for both print and digital circulations. Its combined ABC of 30,696 sees it place third in the sector after only two years of publishing.

Future’s Canon-specific title, PhotoPlus posts an impressive ABC of 26,876, with digital edition growth of over 22% helping it to climb to fourth place in the sector.

For the period ending Dec 13
Title – Print – Digital – Combined
Digital Camera Magazine – 34,824 – 5,577 – 40,401
N Photo – 23,929 – 6,767 – 30,696
Photo Plus – 22,913 – 3,963 – 26,876

Overall, Future’s Photography portfolio posted combined ABC totals of 97,973, which is 36,030 more than the combined ABC figures of Bauer’s photography titles, and 66,117 more than the combined ABCs of IPC’s photography titles.

Matthew Pierce, Future’s Head of Photography, says: “This is an incredibly impressive set of ABC results. We’re delighted that Digital Camera has retained its market-leadership, but also very proud of the extraordinary growth of N-Photo in both print and digital formats. The fact that PhotoPlus has also managed to climb above close rivals from Dennis and Bauer is the icing on the cake!”
