In our blitz of prom photos this season we had inadvertently missed one of our biggest local school’s prom dates — Springfield’s Central High School. In the hopes of including Central among our proms, we put out a last-ditch effort ‘call for photos,’ and wow, did Central seniors come through!
We very quickly racked up over 75 prom photos thanks to the generosity of the students and we are still receiving more! We love that the class has been so kind and giving as to share their photos with us. Out of a big batch of lemons, the students have created a beautiful glass of sweet, sweet lemonade. It turned into a wonderful way to get Central High School some representation in our prom section!
In the process of all of this, we loved that we were able to showcase the photos of the students and we were looking for a way to get the rest of the schools in the valley (and beyond) in on the fun. We are ever so glad we were able to showcase so many schools each year, but there are still some schools that go unrepresented for reasons ranging from the unavailability of a photograph to cover the prom, to the faculty of some school’s desire to keep the proms a ‘private function.’ So that brings us to the Prom-Selfie.
We take selfies, you take selfies, everyone takes selfies. So why not get them off your phone and share them with everyone! We want your Prom-Selfie. You all looked wonderful, so let’s get as much mileage as we can out of that beautiful prom dress or slick tux rental.
