Move beyond the automatic settings of your digital SLR camera. This class teaches you how to use your dSLR to make pictures that are more than just a simple snapshot. You will learn basic photographic concepts of exposure and composition, as well as ways of fine-tuning your eye for lighting and subject matter. Each week, a new aspect of the photographic process will be presented and students will be able to show and discuss pictures made during the previous week.REQUIRED MATERIALS: Digital SLR or digital point & shoot with the ability to change shutter speed and aperture.
