Digital Photography: Beyond the Basics

Are you comfortable with the basic use of your digital camera but want to know more? Do you find yourself using your camera’s automatic setting more than you would like? In this intermediate level course designed to help you gain control over your images, you will get an in-depth look at what makes a photograph work, including composition, light metering, custom white balance and focus. You will examine lighting considerations, including using the flash and taking good photographs in tough lighting situations, and learn how to create a photograph that matches the image you see in your mind. You will be presented with information in a casual learning environment and make your own images based on weekly assignments.
