The Wassenberg Camera Club’s meeting that was set for March 13 was
canceled due to weather conditions. The club’s next meeting is scheduled
for Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center at 214
S. Washington St. here in Van Wert.

Two area photography clubs are
holding meetings open to the public at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 20,
that might be of interest to photographers in the Van Wert area.

The Fort Wayne Photography Club (http://www.fwphotoclub.com) is
offering a workshop on “Macro Photography: Arduino Tricks and
Photography Tips” – by Larry Kilgore. The presentation is on macro
photography techniques and the use of external devices and props to
assist in macro photography. Since this is a hands-on workshop where you
bring your camera and best macro lens, anyone coming with a camera
needs to sign up, so they will know how many to prepare for. The club
meets at the Towne House Retirement Community, 2209 St. Joe Center Road,
in Fort Wayne, Ind. The club’s website provides directions to the
meeting, or you may email dolbys2@embarqmail.com.

The second
meeting is provided by the Artspace /Lima Photography Club which meets
at the Artspace/Lima facility, located at 65-67 Town Square (that’s in
the N.W. corner) in Lima, Ohio. Take Market Street west and turn left
onto Main Street. It will be on the left side of the street. Peter Noyes
from Wapakoneta will be covering the topic, “Shooting Flowers.” The
club maintains a Facebook site at “Artspace/Lima Photography Club” for
more information.
